The manufacturer: KWO Kunstgewerbe-Werkstätten Olbernhau GmbH traces its roots to a small Craftsman's business in the beautiful Erzgebirge-Mountains which produced turned parts from wood. The city of Olbernhau is located close to the boder between Germany and the Czech Republic. The little village of Seiffen near to Olbernhau is probably the most well known place for traditional wooden toy manufacturing which you can find at the foot of the eastern Erzgebirge-Mountains which its many centres of folklore-art.
